Four Military Installations
We have four military installations in the Fairbanks area:
Fort Wainwright,
Eielson Air Force Base,
Fort Greely and
Clear Air Force Station. Ft. Wainwright borders the City of Fairbanks on the east and is home to the 172nd Brigade, Eielson Air Force Base, a half-hour drive east of Fairbanks, is home to The 355th Fighter Wing and the 168th Aerial Refueling Wing of the
Alaska Air National Guard.
